Company X had been using manual record keeping for Employee Engagement, Recruitment and Payroll for a long period of time. A Vendor selling an HR solution (software) approached the Company. A demonstration of how the HR solution worked was made to Management of which the IT specialist was present for the same. Having looked at the system, Management felt that the solution could help with the HR traditional and transactional activities of the organisation. Management decided to procure the solution from the Vendor.
After implementation, it was discovered that the system was not meeting the needs of the HR department and that the HR processes for the organisation were not addressed by the solution.
