Developing a new framework for promoting health and wellbeing in Victoria
There are seven (7) health promotion priority areas. Choose one (1) of the four (4) health promotion priorities highlighted from ‘Developing a new framework for promoting health and wellbeing in Victoria’.

Identify a health issue of interest that relates to one of those priorities.
Locate at least six (6) sources of relevant and ‘credible’ health information (i.e. journal articles, books, reports) which relate to the chosen health issue. The health information may be from Australian or international sources and must have been published between 2008 and 2013.
Using your collected ‘credible’ health information:
-Describe the significance of the health issue in Australia.
-Discuss three (3) determinants (could be social and/or biological and/or environmental) that are relevant to the health issue. As per assignment 1, demonstrate your understanding of how these determinants influence the health issue and its associated outcomes.
-Discuss two (2) existing strategies/interventions (could be downstream, midstream and/or upstream) that are relevant to the prevention of the health issue.
Evaluate how this assignment has allowed you to develop skills and knowledge relevant to your course and future employment as a health or other professional.
Introduction
